Hirali Shah

Part-time Lecturer, Dance

Hirali Shah, is a professional Kathak teacher. She learned Kathak from GURU Pandit Shri Harish Bhai Gangani (Son of Pandit Shri Sundarlala Gangani) and Mrs. Kanan Desai. She has started learning Kathak at the age of 7. Hirali has completed B.A. and M.A. in Kathak and currently doing her PH.D. in Kathak (Natyashastra).  Including many valuable awards, Hirali has been awarded with Mira Award on National Dance Festival (National winner - 2008) and Gujarat Gaurav Award by Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi in 2006.  Further, she is a member of the International Dance Council CID at UNESCO, and affiliated with SCICMD (SAMVED is for Kathak graduation in USA and Canada), Bruhad Gujarat Sangeet Samiti and Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya for graduation and post-graduation in India.
