Due to its ongoing success, WVU Community Theatre is proud to be opening the program to High School students who are interested in acting! We are now serving children grades 1-12 (current academic year).
Our goal is to teach your children about the process of creating a show by participating in all aspects of a production: warm ups, auditions, rehearsals and performance. Through games and activities, students develop their skills, while simultaneously working as a team to create a fully produced show.
All students enrolled will be cast, and previous experience is not necessary (just the desire to act, dance and sing!)
Throughout the process, faculty create a supportive environment that nurtures creativity in a caring environment where the kids can express themselves without fear of being judged. We work through the script, helping them through every stage of rehearsal and performance to create something magical in a whole different world than the one they live in every day. The process culminates in a fully staged production.
