The School of Theatre & Dance offers a three-year Master of Fine Arts degree in five areas: actingcostuminglighting,  scenery, and technical direction. These 60 credit hour programs can be completed in six semesters (three years).

Our MFA programs are accredited by the National Association of the Schools of Theatre (NAST) and are terminal degrees for these disciplines.

With an emphasis on hands-on learning in a rigorous production environment, our MFA programs provides students with significant experience to develop and hone their craft, graduating with a significant portfolio of realized work. Furthermore, all of our MFA students get real-world teaching experience at the university level under the guidance of our faculty. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared for entrance into the professional markets of entertainment and academia.

Assistantships, tuition waivers, and scholarships are available.
