Sabrina Hykes is happy to be returning to West Virginia University as the Scene Shop Supervisor after receiving her MFA in Theatre Design and Technology from the Division of Theatre and Dance in 2009. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2002 at Point Park Univeristy in Pittsburgh, PA after which she served as the scenic design intern for Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, TN.
Hykes has also worked for the Santa Rosa Summer Reparatory Theatre, Das Letzte Kleinod in Geestenseth, Germany, Pendragon Theatre in Saranac Lake, NY, and Horse Cave Theatre in Horse Cave, KY to name a few. Though primarily a scenic designer she enjoys branching out into properties, scene painting, technical direction and any other area that presents itself. A passion for teaching has led her to complete a term of service with KEYS/Americorp mentoring children. She is grateful for this opportunity to continue her education at WVU.
