The BFA in Theatre Design & Technology introduces the student to all theoretical and practical aspects of producing live entertainment. The program is designed for the student who intends to pursue a professional theatre career, further graduate study in theatre, or who may choose to enter a related profession where design and technology skills are highly desirable.
Our broad curriculum allows the student to receive extensive training in their desired area of focus while at the same time allowing them to build other theatrical interests. Training also involves active participation in the production program and the opportunity to serve as leaders to design or construct fully produced mainstage productions. Throughout the course of study, students are exposed to all facets of design and technology and must demonstrate a talent/ability in more than one area of the art form. Portfolio reviews allow the student to craft their resume and documentation for employment searches upon graduating.
